Christian Care Core

Christian Care Core coordinates support ministries for church members who cannot always get to church services and functions.  The CCC is under the guidance of Pastor Rich Darr.  Implementation is coordinated by Helen Billings.  If you have questions, contact the Church office, who will put you in contact with Helen.

We need many volunteers.  Please give praerful consideration to joining one of our ministries.  Here are some of the ministries where volunteers are needed.  If you think of others please share them with us!

Prayer Chain – Coordinated by Caroline Uhlig

Volunteers are needed to receive prayer requests over the phone, pray for each request, and pass the request on to others in the chain.  Prayer makes a difference!

Hospital and/or Shut-in Visitation  – Coordinated by Helen Billings

Volunteers will call on shut-ins and/or hospitalized members of our church, offering cheer, comfort, prayers, and connection.  Pastor Rich offers ongoing training in visitation skills.

Meals Ministry – Coordinated by Bonnie Morell

Volunteers prepare and deliver meals to those just home from the hospital and others in need.

Transportation – Coordinated by John Morell

Volunteers will provide transportation for those needing rides to church, the hospital, medical appointments, etc.

Bereavement Support – Coordinated by Marilynn Fisher

Volunteers support individuals undergoing recent bereavement and help prepare funeral luncheons.

New Parent Support – Coordinated by Jinny Deacetis

Volunteers provide support to new parents through help with meals, shopping, babysitting and transportation.

Health Closet – Coordinated by George Shewfelt

Volunteers help organize and maintain our health closet which provides various health care products such as wheel chairs, bathing benches, etc. to needy members of the community.
